Hi, I am new to this forum so please bear with me if I am a little unsure of how it all works..

I will be staying in Chicago from 12th September to 15th September.

HOTWIRE are showing a hotel as follows; "4-star hotel in North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast" Price quoted is $159 per night.

The distance quoted from Midway is 9.7 miles and distance from O'Hare 15.6 miles, both the exact same as Hyatt Regency.

It is located in Magnificent Mile Area 4 Streeterville. in this area is E Wacker Drive, same address as Hyatt Regency.

Amenities are; Fitness Center, Business Center, Spa Services (at extra charge), Restaurant(s), High-speed Internet Access. Hotel site shows all of these amenities.

Trip Advisor Customer Reviews are 3.5. hot Wire also claim Customr Reviews at 3.5.

Please could someone confirm if the hotel details listed match the Hyatt Regency?

I note that in one of the reviews in Trip Advisor some one got this hotel for $59 how could you do this and be sure to get the Hyatt Regency?

I would be really pleased and very grateful for any information and advice.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I'm confused as to your post... you mention some distances for the NMA zone but then go on to talk about a hotel in the MagMile-Streeterville zone.

Exactly which zone is the hotel you're seeing above located in?

The distances provided by HOTWIRE are not for the specific property, but rather distances from the epicenter of the zone, so i wouldn't use that to try to ID the properties.

Let us know and we'll be able to advise further.

Hi thereyouare, I entered the information incorrectly, the HOTWIRE hotel heading is; "4-star hotel in Magnificent Mile

Area - Streeterville", it says in Area "A". When you enter the dates 12th to 15th September into the Hotwire search box

and add Chicago the hotel that I am looking at is the 3rd one on the list although the rates have now altered to $162 per

night,

total cost:

Best Value!

1Rooms:

3Nights:

$162.00Rate per night:

Total:$486.00Subtotal:

Tax recoverytaxesAndFees:$77.00charges and fees:

getTotalPriceWithAddOns:$563.00

All of the other information in original post looks O.K.

I really am grateful for any assistance with this or am happy if you were to offer any recommendations.

Many thanks for your kind assistance.

I'll try to consolidate the details of your stay to make sure i have them correct:

9/12-9/15

Mag Mile - Streeterville

4*

Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa

The above is a match for the Hyatt Regency so that would be our best guess.

Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.

Hi thereuare, many thanks for your kind assistance.

A little more research into this hotel unearthed a special "Fall Offer" of 25% off a 3 night stay, as this included my dates

and the price was a good bit less than HOTWIRE I booked this special rate directly with the hotel. In addition I have the

option to cancel which I did not have with HOTWIRE.

Assuming this offer is thru the Hyatt, as per our support page, we're an affiliate of the Hyatt and using our links will help keep this place a free resource for everyone.

Yes, I appreciate that and am only to willing to support this excellent site, however, please note that i did click on the Hyatt Link and received the message which I have pasted below:

"The link you clicked on has expired. It pointed to a Web site that was a member of the Commission Junction network and has since been deactivated or temporarily suspended. We apologize for any inconvenience".

May I respectfully suggest that this be looked at.

Thanks for trying... they haven't paid network (which means they havne't paid affiliates either :) ) so they've been suspended/deactivated.

I assume they'll eventually (soon?) take care of their finances and their links will return to good standing (which is why we haven't yet removed their links entirely).
