Garrett
Spokane 2* airport area was Travelodge -- no amenities and overpriced at $63 on Hotwire (August - mid-week). Restaurant, pool, spa all "closed for renovations" -- in disrepair and there was clearly no work being done.Right across the street was Motel 6 with $39.95 advertised on their big light up sign and it was a newer property. Both are very close (<2 miles) from the airport. thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your results wtih the board and helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.I think this is a good example of why we seldom recommend the lower star rated hotels thru the opaque providers... while there may be some hotels at this star quality you're comfortalbe with (such as the Motel 6 in your example), there may be some you're not comfortable with, and you can't choose which you'll receive. As well, there is only so much you can discount an already cheap hotel room and still cover your fixed costs, so the real 'value' is at the higher star levels.I would suggest contacting HOTWIRE and letting them know your concerns with this property and the star rating assigned to it.Can you please also add the dates of your stay as a reply to this thread so that we can add this information to the topic title, keeping with the board's format of reported wins.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
