How do I determine the range of prices I should be trying when I bid (other than the limits of my budget, of course)?

Thanks for the quick response.

My backup hotel is a 3* at 164 (before tax).

So I'm definitely looking to upgrade to 4* and pay less than that. Probably for no more than 150.

Sound possible?
