For the night of 11/08/07, I tried bidding 2* in Honolulu airport zone in increments up to $76 -- no luck

Then tried bidding 1* and 2* in same zone, at $69, then $74 -- won bid at $74 for Pacific Marina Inn (which regularly goes for a base rate of $99).

With taxes and surcharges it came out to $91.06 for the one night.

I'm a bit hesitant having read the mixed reviews of this place but ah well, it's just one night; I'm arriving at Honolulu airport at just before midnight and flying out again (to Kauai) the next morning at 9 am. Technically could have planned on sleeping at the airport, too, for free, but I need my hot shower after a long flight.

I suspect I may have gotten a better deal had I waited and done more bidding, but I'm not that patient. :)
