vb mom Posted August 20, 2007 Report Share Posted August 20, 2007 I bid $65 for 2.5 stars in the Paramus area. I had hoped to get the Hyatt Place. I was "upgraded" by Priceline to a three star, the Crowne Plaza. The hotel was nicely remodeled. This was my first time using Priceline. I was impressed with the hotel. The entire hotel was non-smoking. The rooms were nice. The bathroom was very small but it had a great magnifying mirror. The room had a desk and a nice sitting chair. One issue we had was the noise from the rain on the roof. We had a second floor room (top floor) and when it rained, you thought the rain was going to gush right in the room...you felt very close to Mother Nature. :) Front desk staff was just okay....not overly pleasant, but not unpleasant either.
