Well...

I decided to try in Priceline first, starting at $54, thinking I would have three more re-bids, ending up at $69 for my final bid. If I didn't win anything, I would take the Hotwire offer (which was $69).

My first bid for a 3* in Tinton Falls-Eatontown-Long Branch was accepted.

Could I have gotten it for less? Possibly. Did I save myself $15 off of the Hotwire price? Yes! Do I know which hotel I would have gotten on Hotwire? No. However, the HI Tinton Falls website DOES list high speed internet access so it could be the same hotel. Prices at website start at $144.
