thegoodstuffshere Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Would like help on a amount and bidding tips for a 4* West of Strip,Convention Center (UNLV) or South Strip,2 rooms.I am not picky about the property because I have a 6:00 am flight.Or am I better off getting 2 rooms at The Orleans for $37. off Travelworm.com. Any help would be appreciated.
thereuare Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Whether you take the Travelworm deal depends upon what you're looking for from this stay. Will you be mostly visiting the strip and doing 'touristy things' (if so, i'm not sure i understand your zone selection as i think you'd be better off with the north strip, center strip, and south strip zones) OR are you just looking for a clean room to sleep before your flight? If you go with the above before replying please use our Travelworm link to begin your purchase.Otherwise let us know the above purpose of this stay and we'll be in a better position to advise. thegoodstuffshere Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 I'm just looking for a clean room.I have lived in southern Nevada for 25 years.Just don't want to have to drive 1.5 hours to get to airport. Thanks for your quick response.
thereuare Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I would just take the Orleans deal...Add in priceline's fee and to equal a $37 hotel room you're looking at a $31/bid. You're not likely going to see a 4* for that price, i would sooner just take the known property than risk something unknow to save a few dollars. thegoodstuffshere Posted August 18, 2007 Author Report Posted August 18, 2007 Well I called The Orleans to make sure if I got 2 rooms they would be by each or close,They're snooty response was,"well we'll try but it's not likely."What kinda of answer is that.So I decided to try priceline.not bad,I ended up getting 2 rooms 3* at The Gold Coast for a total 0f $63.00 for both rooms.I bid $25.00 and did'nt even take 15 secs and I got them.
thereuare Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 Glad you're happy with the results.I'd call the Gold Coast now, if you haven't already, to request that the rooms be next to each other.Enjoy your stay.
