I have to admit, this is a tough region in terms of rebids - there're limited zones and they all have 3 stars. Anyway. I bid $65 for one night, after trying $50 for Saturday and Sunday. I figured I can extend my stay if the price gets accept. So, I tried extending my stay for one more night in Sunday - my extra night bid did NOT get accepted. That never happened to me before - I was presented with a counteroffer of $112. For some reason, the price on Marriott's website doubled on Sunday(anyone knows why??) , which I found it a little odd. I did try rebidding for $80 using my companion's name - it was denied - so, I figured that $112 vs $200 on the marriot website was a steal..well..kinda. In any case, I did not want to deal with moving from hotel to another, so I accepted the $112 counteroffer.
