nb10 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I was going to bid up in $5 increments but was surprised when it accepted my first bid. That's never happened to me before -- wish I started lower. I'm happy with the results. Hotwire's cheapest 4* for this area and time was $125. For some reason the hotels are busy right now too, with many sold out, so I'm pleasantly surprised.
nb10 Posted August 14, 2007 Author Report Posted August 14, 2007 By the way, I'm not seeing the Wyndham on your hotel list. Did I get a new one? It looks like a solid location.Wyndham Chicago DowntownNorth Michigan Ave - River North Area633 North St Clair StreetChicago, Illinois 60611

This properyt already does appear in the Priceline Hotel List and has been reported to the board... but we always encourage posts, even if the hotel is already listed, as it gives users an idea of the frequency that hotels are won as well as different price points that are often required.Enjoy your stay. nb10 Posted August 15, 2007 Author Report Posted August 15, 2007 Aaah, I see it on there now. I must have just overlooked it the first time. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 One big tip: be sure to watch your bill on the in-room TV menu, and I'd strongly recommend checking out at the desk instead of through the TV. I was overcharged for the room here once (and nearly a second time) and the one time I was overcharged it was a serious pain in the rear to get it taken care of. I definitely like this hotel in terms of rooms/public areas, but the service could use work.
