Priceline Hotel: NY Bidding Advicec 09/19-09/23

Would like to stay in a 4* in MTE, MTW, MTS or UM/CPS for 09/19-09/23. Dates aren't flexible. Would like a 4* as my cousin and I would like our own beds and think it is more likely to request a room with 2 beds in a 4* although I know its not guaranteed. A room with a king would be ok, but a room with one double bed wouldn't be great.

Have bid so far up to $225 with no luck.

Could bid up to $250, is this unrealistic, or possible once it gets 30 days or closer to date of travel? What do you think likelyhood of being able to get a room with 2 beds in a 3*? Can you give me a bid strategy for both? Thanks!

I would prefer not to split my bid as I wouldn't like to have to move hotels mid trip as it is only 4 nights. But i will consider it if I don't win something soon!
