One way car rental, LAX to SAN

Hey all,

I need a one way car rental to get me from one airport to another in southern california....may layover in LAX is 10 hours and I would rather drive back home to San Diego.

A quick search shows one day rentals for $50-70....

Does anyone have experience with this on Priceline? Anyway to get a rental for under $30?

What sort of 'experience' do you want to know... car rentals are basically a commodity, you pick them up, drive them, and return them.

I shouldn't have expected anything less than a smart aleck comment from a Michigan guy.

Is the going rate on priceline for one way rentals similar to the usual rental?

I haven't tried bidding yet.

I really wasn't trying to be 'smart'...

One way rentals are only offered in very limited areas, and just like 'same location' rentals, can be hit or miss based upon a variety of factors (seasonality, days of the week, etc, etc)... best bet is to find your best deal thru conventional methods, using all available discounts, and then try to beat it by bidding.
