louisd Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 $150 Rejected$175 Rejected$190 Rejected$200 Rejected$210 Rejected$225 RejectedGave up. I am willing to take a 4* in any zone, but I can't go higher than $225. :)
fredd75 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 I hate to book direct on hotel websites whenever possible, but we had the same problem - went with the Millenium Hilton in the financial dsitrict for $229/night ($4 more than your max bid, with no booking fee)They might have some rooms available for $199 and $209, but you're guaranteed to get something for $229 due to the construction at the world trade centre next door. (no impact on your stay, though)try it out at hilton's website if you're in a bind.
louisd Posted August 8, 2007 Author Report Posted August 8, 2007 Thanks, I actually love that property, but for that night the best price is $399! :)

louisd Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 Congratulations on your win... guess those previously rejected bids were a blessing, although you didn't think it at the time!Actually, the dates are different. Because I couldn't find a decent price for Thursday night I rearranged my trip to be in NYC Friday night instead since I knew I could get something on the weeked.
