jbres79 Posted August 6, 2007 Author Report Posted August 6, 2007 forgot to mention I was using the PRICELINE link from SavingsBarn.comthanks in advance.
thereuare Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Although rates are a little high for these dates, i don't think they're too bad. Do you have a maximum bid in mind? Would you also consider adding any other zone(s)... such as the Loop?Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. jbres79 Posted August 6, 2007 Author Report Posted August 6, 2007 $115 for my maximum bid.Although i would prefer NMA, i guess i could consider the loop as well since its just south of the NMA area.
thereuare Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Well i do think you have a chance at $110, so if you prefer the NMA zone over a less expensive Loop alternative, i would first try as follows:You have one re-bid zone at the 4* level in Chicago. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* NMA...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110.If that is rejected, or you prefer a less expensive hotel in the Loop zone before bidding up to $110, let us know that and we'll revise the above. jbres79 Posted August 7, 2007 Author Report Posted August 7, 2007 Update: I tried as follows...Selected 4* NMA...Bid $105, rejected so i added re-bid zone...Bid $110, rejectedWhat would be a good strategy going forward with 3* NMA or 4* NMA/Loop?Thanks
thereuare Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 24 hours after your last rejected bid above i would try as follows:Select 4* Loop...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* NMA...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120 (i would go up to $120, but if you want to stop with the previous $115 bid you're free to do so)If the above is rejected we'll then revise once again... but needed to start with the above in order to "bring the Loop up to speed" with the previous NMA bidding you did.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
