Hotwire Hotel: Which Hotel?

Hi all,

I have never been to New Orleans, so I don't know the area. I've checked Hotwire, and these are my choices (in my budget!) for 6/18-6/22:

4 star, Downtown, prob Hotel Monaco, $75

3 star, Downtown, prob Radisson, $60

3.5 star, FQ, pool and restaurant, $85

? Holiday Inn New Orleans - Chateau Lemoyne

? Hotel St. Marie

3 star, FQ, restaurant and business, $86

?Pontchartrain Hotel

My questions are:

How far are the DT hotels from the FQ?

Are the DT hotels acceptable?

Are the FQ hotels acceptable?

Can anyone narrow down the FQ hotels any more for me?

Any other advice? (Swag?)

Not sure what the FQ hotels are.

I've stayed at the Radisson, and thought it was okay, but it's gotten very mixed reviews elsewhere. It's on Canal St, about 5 blocks from the very edge of the Quarter, about 9 blocks from Bourbon Street. The new Canal Street Streetcar will be running by June, so if you don't want to walk, that's an option.

I've heard good things about the Monaco. It's about 3 or 4 blocks from the FQ. Goven the choice between the Monaco @ $75 or the Radisson @ $60, I'd probably give the Monaco a try.
