Priceline Hotel: Chicago (NMA-River North) 8/31-9/3

First of all, this site is incredible. I almost feel like I need to pay someone for this knowledge.

Here is my situation:

Going to Chicago

Would like to stay in the NMA- River North Area.

Would settle with staying in Loop area if I had to.

2.5* or better, but 2.5 is perfectly fine with me.

I am cheap.

Any help for a bidding strategy? I would like to book something this weekend, although I could wait until next Thursday.

What would be your maximum bid for a 2.5* property in this zone?

If the Loop zone would be less expenisve, would you be willing to bid there as well?

Personally, I'd advise bidding 3* or above in either of the downtown zones. You will almost certainly not have to bid more than you would if you were going for a 2.5* (many of the 3*'s are very similar hotels to the 2.5*'s) and I wouldn't want you to end up in the 2.5* Tremont in the River North/NMA area.
