1flysi Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I've got two questions. I am traveling to Atlanta on 9/13/07 - 9/16/07. I searched on Hotwire for those dates and it pulled up a 3.5* in downtown, but it wasn't a customer favorite. Amenities include fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center. This one is $64 a night. What hotel does this sound like?I really want to stay in a customer favorite. I then searched for the date's seperatly and I found a 3.5* customer favorite for the 9/13-9/14 for $65 a night. I also found a customer favorite 3.5* $65 a night for the dates of 9/14-9/16. The amenities for both these hoteles are fitness ctr, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet access. This distinctive establishment offers comfortable rooms, personal service and some upscale features. Why wont it pull it up for the dates I need together? Do you think it is the same hotel? Which hotel does it sound like?-Thomas
thereuare Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!I really want to stay in a customer favoriteI wouldn't include this as a criteria for your purchase... try to figure out the hotel and make a decision based upon the best guess for the property you're seeing. There are plenty of Customer Favorites i wouldn't recommend... and plenty of non-Favoirtes that i'd be thrilled to receive. The two hotels are probably so close in price that HOTWIRE alternates the properties from search to search. For example, i just searched for your compete set of dates and i show the Customer Favorite for your complete stay. I would leave this be for 12 hours and try your search again tomorrow (see our note below regarding please using our HOTWIRE link to begin your searches/purchases)The Customer Favorite property is a match for the Hyatt Regency so that would be our best guess. The other "non-Favorite" is a match for the Wyndham, Hilton, and Sheraton... so any of those would be our guess for the non-Favorite (the first one you asked about)Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your searches and any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. 1flysi Posted August 2, 2007 Author Report Posted August 2, 2007 I was leaning towards the hyatt and I figured that is the customer favorite. That is why I said that. I will wait untill tomorrow and try to get all the dates together in one process. Thanks and I will use the link and post up results. Also just incase it doesn't pull them up, can you post up a link from your search results?
thereuare Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 The links won't tranfer from computer to computer and therefore wouldn't won't work on your computer. You can try adding a child or an extra adult to your HOTWIRE search... sometimes that gets the hotel you want to 'appear' as the system treats it as an entirely separate search than your previous one. 1flysi Posted August 3, 2007 Author Report Posted August 3, 2007 I decided to go with priceline and made a bid of $65 a night for a 4* in Downtown atlanta. Bid was accepted and it was the Hyatt Regency. The total price was $308.52. The regular price was $650.00.Great deal.
thereuare Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Congratulations on your win... glad to hear you received the hotel you wanted.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
