Priceline Hotel: 3* NYC (MTE ) Marriott Eastside

This is for my cousin who will travel with two sons(10 and 7 years old) from DC - New York (8/18-20) - Boston - Niagara Falls - New York (8/23-24).

I was looking for hotels around Manhattan, not in Manhattan (because it's very expensive), so I tried Jersey City up to $125, but no luck.

Today, my cousin suddenly decided to bid at $115 in Manhattan area.

We knew it's really really expensive in that area, but she just wanted to try.

Started 4*- 2* MTW (8/18-20) at $115 - rejected

added 4* - 2* MTE same price - rejected

added 4* - 2 * MTS same price - rejected

added 4* - 2* DW same price - rejected

added 4* - 2* UM same price - rejected

then tried different date (8/23-24)

started 4* - 2* MTW same price - rejected

added 4* - 2* MTE same price - rejected

added 4*- 2* MTS same price - rejected

added 4* - 2* DW same price - rejected

added 4* UM same price -rejected

added 3* UM same price - rejected

added 2 1/2* UM same price - got a massage to try to raise $22 more and i did ,

and got 3* MTE Marriot hotel!!!

Tomorrow, I will try again for 8/18-20.

I hope I have luck again.

Thank you for sharing your results and bidding history with the board. I'd recommend callling the hotel and putting in a request for a room with two beds (assuming this is what she needs)

This is just a one nite stay, correct?
