Matt V Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Hi, I'm trying to get a hotel in Atlantic City near the boardwalk, preferably with a casino, I guess that would make it Atlantic City Area. I would like a 3 star or higher. Check in 8/18, check out 8/20. I would like to pay about $125-150 per day. Thanks.
thereuare Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Given the peak summer seaon, and a Saturday nite check-in, i'm doubtful you'll be successful up to your limit. We can suggest a strategy to follow, but realize that if you do have success, it will likely be a an off-boardwalk property (and not have a casino). Not sure if your 'wants' above or price are most important, so you'll have to weigh if the likely 'risk' of not getting your desires above is worth the potential savings.Let us know if you'd like to proceed with an opaque purchase or look for a booking that may be more inline with what you're seeking for this stay. Matt V Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Hi,Thanks for the reply. I definitely want the hotel on/near the boardwalk. How much would I have to raise my price? Alternatively, if I can do a Sunday and Monday stay, how much should I bid? Thanks,Matt
thereuare Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 I definitely want the hotel on/near the boardwalk. Can you accept a hotel anywhere within priceline's boundary of the zone? How much would I have to raise my price? For success for the Sat-Mon stay or to be closer to the beach?Alternatively, if I can do a Sunday and Monday stay, how much should I bid?Would it be the following date of 8/19-8/21? Matt V Posted August 2, 2007 Author Report Posted August 2, 2007 Can you accept a hotel anywhere within priceline's boundary of the zone? For success for the Sat-Mon stay or to be closer to the beach?Would it be the following date of 8/19-8/21?Sorry for all the confusion. I have decided to stay one day in New York (I guess I'll ask about that in the New York section) and two days in Atlantic City. The two days are 8/19-8/21. I would like a 3* hotel in the Atlantic City Area. The hotel having a casino, is no longer important (I can just go to one). How much would be a good bid? Also, if anyone knows of any ways to get free meals or coin bonuses or other free stuff in Atlantic City, I would really appreciate it.Thanks for your help thereuare. I hope I didn't make this more confusing.Matt
