Tried Downtown and Medford (free rebid) at $87--rejected

Added Brighton, $90--rejected.

Added Brighton, $105--rejected

Added Medford, $110--rejected

Added 3* star (should have added Copley here as I'm willing to stay there, but was getting frustrated and messed up)--$115--rejected.

Closed browser, tried Dowtown, Brighton, and Copley 4* only for $120--rejected

Hi. I am anxiously monitoring your progress with Boston bidding. I have used Priceline with lots of success in several large cities, however, downtown Boston 4-star hotels are continuing to deny my offers. We need 2 rooms on the night of 9/17/07. I am hoping that rooms will become available as September approaches. I, too, will post results after we get a confirmation from Priceline. Good luck to us both. :)

There are no 1* and 2* Boston Hotels listed on the hotel list for Downtown and Copley. Anyone have any idea which these might be and, more importantly for Copley, where they are? At this point, our backup is literally the youth hostel since we haven't been able to score any deals with Priceline that are within our budget.

Any thoughts on the extra-cheapies?

Yes, same dates. I started a new thread since I was asking about the types of hotels for the star class rather than specific bidding.

All hotels reported would be in the Priceline Hotel List.

1* and 2* properties are often Ramada, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Extended StayAmerica, Homestead Suites, and similar.

just a quick note, the yankees are in town the 14th - 16th so i'd guess that would be a major reason why you are having trouble getting a room its the last yankees red sox series of the year too, so that probably adds to it. good luck!
