I am a college student planning on visiting New York City. I was wondering if any of you could help out there. I need a hotel/motel to stay. I would prefer one in the City. I know Motels was quite less expensive than hotels. If any of you know any motel, that's in a good neighborhood, and a reasonably low price. Please help me out.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

My definition, a motel typically has exterior corridors and you pull your car up to the door of your room... nothing like that exists in NYC since there is no 'traditional' parking lot.

What is your budget and what are the date(s) of your stay.

Also, are you over 21 years old? (as many hotels require this as a minimum age to check-in, if your younger it will elimate some of your options)

As per the terms of each, you must be at least 21 years old to check-in to a hotel reserved thru Priceline or HOTWIRE (many hotels have minibars with liquor in them, so they need a blanket rule to cover all properties... as just one reason for the rule, there are others). You can take a chance if you'd like, but in doing so the hotel would be within their right to turn you away (with no refund and no hotel room for your stay either!)

Regardless, your budget is not likely enough for a 'hotel' and i'd suggest looking at some of the budget options available thru EasyClickTravel, LastMinuteTravel, or GTA Hotels. Do your search and then sort each by price.

Thanks for the advice. I am not as confused as I was before.
