msgoldengopher Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Hi, I came accross this website and was amazed how helpful everyone is to each other. I'm new and am asking for assistance before bidding on hotel. I am trying to decide if I want to stay in Evanston/Skokie/Northbrook or even near O'hare airport versus downtown Chi. Downtown would be much more convienent. Any help is truly appreciated. I am looking for an estimate of the hotel name (I'll describe below). I have looked at the link for Hotwire Hotel List. Thanks. As of today there is a 3* Chicago Loop for $121 per night. -Amenities include: Fittness Center, Buisiness Center, High Speed Internet, Restaurant, Laundry Facilities I will need the room 7/26-7/29 (thurs-sun.) for 2 guest
thereuare Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you still seeing this property on a current HOTWIRE search? I just did a search for your dates and only show one hotel in the Loop zone (and it's not a 3* property)Let us know. msgoldengopher Posted July 25, 2007 Author Report Posted July 25, 2007 Thanks for responding. I just searched, and you are correct the deal I saw yesterday is no longer listed. I wonder if they change according to what is available? Thanks...I should have taken a chance, and just bid on the room.
thereuare Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 HOTWIRE will only show the least expenisve hotel at each star level in each zone... so if another, less expenisve hotel is currently showing, then that hotel has loaded a lower rate than the previous hotel; if a higher priced hotel (or not hotels) are showing at that star level than the hotel has either pulled their inventory or another person has bought whatever inventory was available.EasyClickTravel often has some good deals in Chicago and i'd give them a look as well.
