Priceline Hotel: 4* NMA / MP 7/27-7-29 No Go Up to $140/nt. for 2 Rooms

Been watching and monitoring hotel prices for this weekend for several months now. We have reservations at Hilton Chicago (720 S. Mich Ave.) for $170/nt as backup.

Bid 4* NMA / MP (2 separate bids using Midway as Free re-bid in both areas) to $125 on 7/15 with no luck

Bid 4* NMA / MP (2 separate bids using Midway as Free re-bid in both areas) to $140 on 7/18 with no luck

Several DT hotels are "sold out" for Saturday (7/28) . . apparently there is a lot going on in Chicago this weekend including the Venetian Night celebration & IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo according to the ChooseChicago.com website http://www.choosechicago.com/smi/calendar.cfm

We probably would have picked a different weekend but already have airline tickets. . . have previously won Hyatt Regency in MP zone for under $100 . . but they are sold out for this weekend. .

I will try again closer to weekend to see if anyone releases some rooms to PL and report back on my efforts.

I don't currently see anything less than your current back-up... but i'll throw in a reminder to anyone else following along that for back-up reservations we're affiliates of almost all the major hotel chains, include the Hilton, as per our support page.

Don't know if you'd be interested in the Best Western Grant Park for $115/nite thru GTA Hotels (lowe star rating but much cheaper too)

Only other option would be to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID, but not sure if that's an option for this 2 nite stay.
