Vasssilis Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Hello,First of all congratulations for the time and effort that you have put to develop such a site ! Great effort and you have my full support. I have already said about your site to at least 20 friends of mine! I have studied the forum carefully and here is what I did but no luck yetI followed the 4 Star strategy that you have explained in this Priceline San Francisco thread. Here is what I did in chronological order.1. I went to http://www.savingsbarn.com/ and from there to Priceline.com where I set up my account.2. My desired dates are fixed and can not change 25th of July - 29 of July. 3. I am after a 4* Hotel. The budget is up to $130 .The location is flexible as long as it is down town San Francisco, so after reading a couple of threads, down town San Francisco translates to Cathedral HillCivic Center AreaFisherman's WharfUnion Square East - EmbarcaderoUnion Square West4. Yesterday 19th of July, I followed exactly the strategy as per the instructions followed in this thread. But no luck. All of my bids were rejected.Any suggestions? Thanks !

Vasssilis Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 Hello,Thanks for coming back to me !Sure no problem at all. I don't even mind moving to another hotel as long as we can keep the price sexy !What is your suggestion ?Vassilis
thereuare Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Since you've already bid up to $130 i'm asusming that would be considered a 'sexy' price? You have three re-bid zones when bidding 4* in San Francisco. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.I would bid as follows for the dates of 7/25-7/28 (i'm assuming as per above that you already bid all these zones for your complete stay):Select 4* USE...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USW...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Fishermans Wharf...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE and USW...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE and Fishermans Wharf...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* USE and USW and Fishermans Wharf...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120.If the above is rejected, close the browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Repeat the process for the dates of 7/25-7/27Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
