squishee80
Hello! I'm trying to book a 3 or 4 star anywhere in Manhattan from Sat. Aug 25 to check-out of Wed. Aug. 29. I guess the max. price I would pay in $140/night. Any suggested strategies? Thanks in advance for any help! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Did you want to include Downtown in your bidding (many consider it a bit too far "out of the way" for the typical visitor)... but if price is the most important factor you may want to include it.Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. thereuare
One more questions...Do you want the least expensive 3* or better hotel within your budget OR did you want to try up to your maximum bid for a 4* hotel and then try for a 3* property? squishee80
What would be a realistic price to pay for a 4*? i.e. how much would I need to up my max. bid? Link to comment
squishee80
Sorry, I misunderstood your question.I'd just like to maximize my chances of getting a hotel for less than $140. I'd rather start with higher bids if it means having an offer accepted sooner. If you think my chances are high of getting a room either way, I guess I'd rather try your second suggestion, try for 4* first. Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Let me try to re-phrase the question with an example...Would you prefer a 4* hotel at $140 or a 3* hotel at $125? squishee80
Then I'd prefer a 3* at $125. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3* level in NYC you have one re-bid zone.
