Sandy1
It seems to be impossible to get a room for a 3* hotel for under 220$. I started at 160$ and went up to 220$ but no success. I even tried all areas (ME, MW, MS,SoHo,....).Any suggestions? Link to comment
thereuare
Seasonally this is one of the busiest (and most expensive) times in NYC.Any progress on your Hawaii threads: Priceline Hawaii and Hotwire Kauai threads? Sandy1
So my changes to get a room in a 3* hotel for under 300$ are very low?Concerning my stay on Kauai I decided to stay in a condo and booked it directly from the owner but maybe I will try my luck for a 3 nights stay an Maui with priceline. thereuare
I don't think so... The above is a match for the Washington Jefferson so that would be our best guess. Are you now willing to spend $269/nite for this date? Please use this HOTWIRE link for any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Sandy1
I`m not sure yet how much I`m willing to pay but we have to stay somewhere :) All I know is that I don`t want to stay in a hostel but maybe it comes up to that. I even tried priceline for a second time and went up to 220$ for a 2 star hotel but had no luck. Link to comment
thereuare
Although a very expensive time in NYC, it's still early and I wouldn't suggest bidding for a 2* hotel in NYC at this time... you may actually win something and a decent chance you won't be happy with it. Sandy1
I just won the Excelsior hotel (2.5*) for 240 US$. After reading some reviews I think its a quite good deal for a New York Hotel at this time.I started my bid with 220 US$ for a 3*hotel, all areas, but had no luck.Next bid was 240 US$ 2.5*. thereuare
Thanks for the post and for helping us add this property to the Priceline New York City Hotel List. This is certainly much better than the nearly $400/nite on the hotel's website, but be sure to read this as a tip before any future bidding: If You Lower Your Star Quality Then Lower Your Price as it could save you money on your future bidding.Enjoy your stay.
