I need two rooms for 9/2 for a 3* or 4* in MW. Back in March I got the Paramount for $100 so I'm hoping to do the same this time. Any suggestions?

You'll likely need to go a little higher than your previous winning bid back in March.

What is your maximum bid for this stay? If budget is a factor i'd also recommend trying to add other zones besides MTW... are there any other zones you're willing to accept?

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

I guess it doesn't really matter where we stay. We'll be hanging around the Times Square area and it would be best if we could stay somewhere that we could just walk to but if we can't then we'll just have to take a taxi or subway. It's only 1 night so it's not a big deal I guess.

Well I like to stay around that general area because we're doing an overnight cruise the night before so we don't want to spend a lot on a hotel for 1 night. I guess we're willing to stay within a 10-15 minute cab ride of times square/grand central.

While you can get from Lower Manhattan (Downtown/Battery Park) to Times Square in 15 minutes (without traffic) this is not necessarily a prefered area to stay... it's not terrible, but it's not as centrally located as the midtown zones, and should be a "last choice" (imo), especially if you think you'll be spending most of your time in the Times Square/Grand Central areas.

Is $100 your maximum bid, as that usually doesn't go too far in NYC, although i'm slightly optimistic as i see some alternatives for just a bit more.

Well it doesn't have to be the max bid but I'd like to stay somewhat around that price range cause like I said we're spending a good amount of money on the cruise. The hotel is just a resting point for us before we head home.

To some $150 is close to $100... for others $125 is far away from $100... what is your maximum bid? We will suggest a strategy which goes up systematically, so you need to worry about overbidding, but we'll need a number to make sure we dont' suggest a stratetgy that goes higher than you are willing to bid.

What about the Downtown zone given our comments above?

If the above is rejected you can look at HOTWIRE where there is a 3.5* Hotel in the MTC zone for $125/nite (best guess is that it's the Hudson hotel). If you go with this option please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
