We've always used priceline to book in the downtown area. I bid $44 and 50 and had no luck. Advice? We have a baby and thus -need- something reliably clean and nice. :) I bid for a 4* and according to the posts, $50 should have done it. Thoughts?

thanks for your help!

I really don't want to pay more than $50 plus taxes. Any recs for nice 3*s in the area?? We're coming from Mpls and going to Tulsa, so our location is flexible.

this place rocks! thanks!

For the Downtown area i think you might find success for a 4* if you're willing to go up to $65... but don't know if you want to increase your budget at this point in time.

As well, when you added nearby zones did you expect to win a hotel in those zones, as i'm not quite sure you under stay the concept of Priceline Re-Bidding Explained.

I upped my bid and added areas, knowing that there weren't any 4*s in that area, but hoping the increased bid may win in the original downtown area, hoping to just book and be done. I definitely don't want to go over $55 plus taxes.

I'll look into adjacent areas with 3*s for a lesser price point.

Any other advice?

Thanks again!

UPDATE: Bid up to $55 on a 3* in Country Club Plaza, Downtown and KC South. Rejected. What am I missing??
