kinetic_a Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 I stayed at the Fairmont on a business trip and now want to stay there on a personal vacation. I would like to pay a discounted rate. The dates of stay are (soon!) 7/15-7/17. What process and/ or site is recommended for this task? Thanks.I've checked hotwire and will start a new post using recommended format and info. Would still like a reply to this post as to how to get a discounted rate on a specific hotel. Thanks.
kinetic_a Posted July 11, 2007 Author Report Posted July 11, 2007 Hotwire 4* Dallas downtown (Turtle Creek) $96 a nightstay dates: 7/15-7/17, 2 adultsamenities listed:Fitness CenterGuests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Restaurant(s)Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. thereuare Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 The property above has not yet been identified and the amenties are farily common for a downtown hotel, but if i were to take a guess i'd think the The Adolphus-A Noble House Hotel is a possibility. The retail price matches what HOTWIRE shows (although this is not usually a reliable indicator as hotwire's stance is that this is the retail rate of a hotel of that star quality in the zone... not that of the particular hotel you will receive) and the hotel does ahve all the amenities that are listed by HOTWIRE. However, if this the property you want it may just be better to book thru Hotels.com which has it for $109/nite... a few dollars more than HOTWIRE but no uncertainty of the hotel. As far as the Fairmont, there is no way to bid on a specific hotel and i don't know if any supplies offering this property at a discounted rate. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you move forward on the above, or our Hotels.com link if you decide to book that way.Let us know whatever you decide to do or if we can be of further help. kinetic_a Posted July 24, 2007 Author Report Posted July 24, 2007 Personally, I enjoyed it. You probably would like the specs repeated here and I'm ill prepared. 4* Dallas, was the Adolphus as you suggested. Paid $109 a night, using the link you provided - thanks.Nice front desk and vallet. Convenietly located. No COLD water and couldn't see the TV from the bed. . . I complained at my partner's request and they offered to move us to a junior suite. Maybe next time. The Dallas World Aquarium was fabulous as always. Thanks- I'll use the links provided at your site again in the future.~a
