Priceline Hotel: Resort Maui (Kaanapali-Lahaina) The Westin Maui Resort

Maui resorts on priceline seems a bit tricky, after reading all of earlier postings. On 10/07-10/08, somehow HOTWIRE didn't offer the best deal with Hyatt ($364) and Sheraton wasn't there. There must be something going on that day, since I can also search for $219 for Hyatt for former/later that week. Hotwire had $159 with another 4-star condo in Ka'anapali, but I fear that it might not be a Westin since the amenities doesn't match. (maybe ResortQuest? I was too lazy to request for help finding this out.) As I was okay with one of Hyatt, Sheraton, or Westin, I turned to priceline and crossed my fingers.

I started bidding with $160 on SavingsBarn, and click through PRICELINE link, and got an immediate answer from them; Westin Maui Resort. I selected Ka'anapali region only, and selected only a resort.

I am happy with Westin Resort with this price. It's a huge saving; Web's best price was $365.00, their homepage offers $394.00. I need a better luck next time with Hyatt or Sheraton but I'm happy I didn't get Whaler :)
