austinite Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 Hotel shows as 2* "Customer Favorite" (Fitness center, Laundry, Kitchenette, High-Speed Internet)I won this hotel for $47 two weeks ago, selecting it for 1-adult, 3-children. When I got to the hotel, they said that their rooms were Single occupancy ONLY, and the rooms they offered to HOTWIRE reservations did not include more than a single queen bed, and no roll-aways or fold-out sofas. Other rooms did have fold-outs, but they would charge me $30/nite extra to "upgrade".This is clearly an issue with the HOTEL. They blamed Hotwire. I called Hotwire after the weekend was over, and they said that they guarantee the hotel will accommodate the number of guests that are booked, and that I could have "upgraded" and they would have reimbursed me (but at the time, I didn't think to call them, and just settled for cramming everyone on a single bed instead). :) Today, I re-checked HOTWIRE, and the same hotel appears available for 4 guests still, so nothing has changed.My advice: DO NOT book this hotel if you need more than a single queen size bed. Otherwise, the place is great, because it has a full kitchen and is clean and quiet in a good location.
