jhzwtx Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Hi everyone,I am planning a short trip to NYC during my Labor day break.I have been reading couple posts about hotels in Jersey City here (really help!!!), it seems to me it is not uncommon for us to get 3* hotel (Hyatt) around $70/night on priceline. Then I tried myself and got rejected for $80...Is that a very expensive time for visiting NYC? The Pod Hotel with private bath is also 200+ for that period.I will go ahead to try to rebid again tomorrow, at the same time, would you mind offer some suggestion?I am OK with splitting the bid (travel really light) Thanks,
thereuare Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! The "ultra-low" rates in Jersey City aren't always available. Rates are currently not high at the Hyatt so hopefully inventory will open up ad your get closer to your stay. If not, there are currently better deals to be had than The Pod for $200+.Would you be willing to pay more than your current $80 bidding for a hotel in Manhattan? If so, how much?
