Was looking for a 4-star room at the last minute after a quick switch of anniversary trip destination when we couldn't find a room in our budget in Montreal.

Went through savingsbarn.com and ..

Bid $100 for a 4-n star in Boston (Copley). Rejected

Bid $110 and added Brighton Brookline, which has no 4-star PL properties. Rejected.

Bid $120 and added Medford-Somerville, which has no 4-star PL properties. Rejected.

Bid $130 and added Downtown-Charlestown, where we were happy to stay. Rejected.

Bid $140 and added South Boston, which has no 4-star PL properties. Rejected.

Bid $150 and added Boston (Financial District). Accepted

Nine Zero is "pet friendly," which gives me pause as I thing of all the paws that might have been on the carpet. But the cheapest rate through the hotel's Web site is $259. So perhaps this is not too bad.

Congratulations on your win!

Looks like a nice deal and some good savings on short notice. This chain usually does a good job at keeping their "boutique" hotels clean so i wouldn't worry about the pet friendly issue too much.

Thakns you for sharing your win with the board and for starting your bid with the SavingsBarn.com PRICELINE links.

Enjoy your stay and have a happy anniversary :)
