yewclj Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I was having trouble getting a hotel for the weekend Friday (07/13) - Sunday (07/15) because the prices were really high on hotwire. Figured that I was able to get a room for $99 in a 4* in the Chicago Loop/Magnificent Mile area if I just confined my dates to Friday (07/13) - Saturday (07/14). I used those same dates and bid for a 4* hotel for $95 and got the Chicago Hilton. But on Priceline, you have a choice of extending your stay for the same price, which is what I did. Essentially I got a better deal on Priceline than on Hotwire just be tweaking the dates and extending my stay. Thanks for all the info on this forum :)I did have one question though. I am planning on driving to Chicago. Any suggestions for cheap (and safe?) parking in the vicinity of the Hilton Chicago? Thanks again.
thereuare Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Others local to the area may have better ideas, but one parking option is to park by the airport and then take the train to the downtown area... but not sure how much this would save you or if worth the 1hr train ride.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
