texasaggie07 Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Hey you guys I would appreciate any bidding help for the dates of 07/28 - 08/01 in new york city. i tried upto 145 this morning and I have been rejected of all my offers. Should I start bidding closer to the date or what should I do? Any feedback would help. Thanks.
blindman Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Welcome to Betterbidding.Thereuare will be around shortly to give 'proper' advice :) What is your maximum bid? What zones do you want (or don't want)? How many in your party?Do you want to stay in Manhattan or is an outlying (and usually cheaper) area OK e.g. New Jersey??
texasaggie07 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 I want to stay in MDW, MDE, SOHO, or UM/CPS. My maximum bid would be $150. Is it because I am checking in on a saturday or are the weekdays the problem. I really dont want to split my stay, but if it comes down to that are there any strategies for that too.
thereuare Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Based upon current rates it doesn't look as if $150 will be enough. If you do SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID i think you do have a chance at getting some of your nites within your budget. If you'd rather wait it out and see if availability opens up, i'd recommend booking can cancellable back-up (the Eastgate Tower is available for $185/nite average... gets pretty good reviews)Let us know your thoughts between increasing yoru bid, waiting it out, or lowering your star rating and we'll take it from there. I dont know if this is a really good deal, but on their website the room price is $262.50 per night. Also, On Hotels.com I was getting it for $199 a night.
