France, Paris Hotel Scribe, Not Friendly To Priceline Customers (In My Experience)

Hotel Scribe is not a remarkable hotel. Its greatest asset is the beds and linens. The lobby is a bit of a bore and overall the hotel lacks charm. You may be interested to know that the Guest Relation Manager informed me at check in that I was "lucky" to get a room to accommodate 2 adults because since I booked with Priceline I "only deserve" a single room. Despite my correcting her that Priceline only books rooms to accommodate 2 adults, she continued to argue and was quite rude. The room I was given had major plumbing problems. I first called the front desk when the sink did not drain - at all. They agreed to send someone up. I waited a bit and took a shower. The shower completely flooded the bath and room, soaking the carpet and making a huge mess. I phoned reception and was asked, "OK, so what do you want?" I was moved to another room of the same category. Never an apology. Never a note from management, despite my asking for the General Manager to contact me after my Priceline debate with the Guest Relations Manager. Overall, not nearly as good as the Westin Paris where I stayed just a few months prior, also a Priceline win, same hotel class/area. The Westin had wine and desserts waiting in our room upon check in (I had written to let them know it was my mother's birthday) and the location, gorgeous lobby, attentive concierge service were all top quality. Don't expect much from Hotel Scribe other than a comfortable bed. Not a hotel with class.
