Hotwire Hotel: New York Hotels..Hotwire...Do you know these?

There are currently two hotel showing up on Hotwire for NYC between Sept. 29 - Oct. 2nd.

One is:

3.5 * In midtown central; $265/night; amenities are: Fitness, Restaurants, Business Centre, High Speed Internet

The other is:

3.5 * in the Theatre District: $294/night; amenties are: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Centre, High Speed Internet

If you knew which hotels these were it would be greatly appreciated?

Also, your thoughts on the rates?

The MTC property is a match for the Hudson Hotel while the 3* Times Square hotel is a match for the Hotel Mela, so those would be our best guess for each.

I think the prices are too high to lock in a non-refundable rate this far in advance of your stay... and if this is what it's going to cost, there is a better option (imo).

You can book the Affinia Dumont for $272/nite. There is no booking for so it's cheaper than both of the above, the reviews are great, and more importantly it's cancellable up unitl 48 hours before your stay... so you can lock in a better hotel and price than you're seeing above and continue to try/monitor the opaque providers to see if you can better the deal as you get closer to your check-in date.
