fresh02guy Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Hi,Hoping to get some advice: looking to visit NY June 22-25 (3 nights) and staying in Jersey City to save some $$. 2.5* minimum, but would prefer 3*.1 room, safe location even if walking home from path @1AM, and have parking (ideally free) and must be close to PATH/train station. Would like to keep it close to $100 if possible.Would consider staying in Manhatten as well for around $150 but I always think parking will be an issue (dont want to pay additional $30 a day for parking)Willing to split up the nights into different hotels if needed as I will be driving. Thanks!

fresh02guy Posted June 17, 2007 Author Report Posted June 17, 2007 I'll be driving from Toronto, Canada. Yup, it will be a long drive but worth the trip :)
thereuare Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 There is only one hotel in the Jersey City area that includes free parking... others are $10-$28/day.Have you thought about parking at a train station outside of the city for the length of your stay... then taking a train into Manhattan (or Jersey City)? If you bid Manhattan, which zone(s) are you willing to accept? (would you consider downtown?) smootchick Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 I'm visiting the same dates, got the Doubletree Club Jersey City for $100/night from Priceline. They're suites and right on the Hudson, close to transit lines. Give it a shot. :)
