Sully
I recently was successful via this site getting a very good deal on a hotel stay, so now I am looking at car rental for another trip.Trip is to Myrtle beach 6/24-6/30 and cheapest I can see via Orbitz etc is about $218 with tax & fees on midsize. Hotwire shows midsize at $155.My questions are: 1)Does the hotwire quote show all costs? Anything hidden I should be aware of so that I can compare effectively?2)Can I be sure car rental is onsite?3)I don't care what company but I would prefer a major name vs some local rental guy etc,..4)Can coupon be utlized after a successful bid if available.ThanksDan Link to comment
thereuare
I recently was successful via this site getting a very good deal on a hotel stay, so now I am looking at car rental for another trip.Savings money is addicting :)1)Does the hotwire quote show all costs? Anything hidden I should be aware of so that I can compare effectively? The hotwire total shows the complete cost before purchase. Only thing additional would be things that are also not included in the Orbitz rate (purchasing their insurance if desired, a car seat if you need it, etc)2)Can I be sure car rental is onsite? No, but weigh the savings to see if worth the risk of an off-site location. (is the risk of having to take a shuttle ride worth $60 savings too you?)3)I don't care what company but I would prefer a major name vs some local rental guy etc,..It will be one of the "majors"... i don't know anyone that has received a car rental from a local operation.4)Can coupon be utlized after a successful bid if available. No, as you don't pay the rental company anything... you actually paid HOTWIREPlease use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or what you decide to do.
