I tried $70/nt (less than half the normal price for a hotel in this area) and it worked. I'll try a lower price next time. Anybody have any experience bidding in Northern Bergen county? thereuare Posted March 16, 2004 Report Share Posted March 16, 2004 I grew up there and am quite familiar with the area so i can help in the future.A must do while you are there is to go to Kinchley's Tavern for pizza (just over a 5 minute drive from this hotel). It's a smoky bar type place with plastic red-checkered table cloth that serves some of the best thin crust pizza in NJ. I don't know if i'd venture into any of the other menu items, but they are widely known for their pizza and do a tremendous business (read: expect a wait).
