settlinger Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 We will be in the Chicago area June 22 - 25 and it doesn't matter where in the area we stay since we will have a car and can communte to the areas we would like to be in. We prefer to stay north or west if possible. Any suggestions for bidding strategies for 2 1/2 * on Priceline, and/or best priced choices from hotwire?

Not only is this area quite safe and pleasant, but it provides some nice beaches (although you may have to pay a fee to use them, depending on community) and a few great attractions, such as the Ravinia Music Festival (ravinia.org) and the Chicago Botanic Garden (in the suburb of Glencoe; chicagobotanic.org.)If you want to head downtown, you can drive to a nearby Metra station (metrarail.com), park and take that downtown. HOTWIRE is showing a 3* in Northbrook for $54 for your dates that appears to be the Radisson Northbrook. However, I think you could probably do even better by using Priceline.Any questions, please ask.
