Priceline Hotel: 4* New Orleans (Downtown-Convention Center) InterContinental

OK...this is my first posting, so I'm sure I'll mess something up, but what the heck, here it goes....

I read through your message board for a couple of days and got so bogged down by the details that I finally just decided to give it a shot and I think I did fairly well.

We are going to New Orleans for a couple of days and I wanted to stay in the Quarter or Garden District. After trying a bid of $61 per night for those zones and being rejected (they told me to increase my bid by $17 and try again), I closed down my screen, opened a new browser window, and then tried again. This time I added a zone, for Downtown NOLA, and stuck with my 4* choice, but increased my bidding price to $67 per night and it was accepted! Wow! I can get hooked on this. Next time I'll try even lower.

Oh, it's at the Hotel Intercontinental, which is a decent hotel in NOLA.
