Priceline Hotel: Effingham or Terre Haute

Any experience at either of these? Effingham has max of 2.5 stars and Terre Haute 2 stars. I would prefer 2.5 stars, but was rejected at $30. at Effingham today. Plan on trying $35. tomorrow. This is for 1 night in about one week from now.

I tried and failed at a $30. bid for one night in Terre Haute next week at the 2 star level-- the highest available.

I don't have experience with either of these cities, but I'm guessing that they may have a very limited amount of hotels that work with Priceline, as is the case in some smaller towns. If so, those hotels may not have any PL inventory for these dates.

HOTWIRE does have a few hotels available in Effingham for June 13th (not sure if that's your date; you mentioned a week or so from the 6th.)
