I bid $130 (first bid) and it was accepted. I had seen people getting the 4*Hyatt Penns Landing for $85 so I wanted to big higher to try not to get that. I really needed to be closer to Rittenhouse Square which the Westin is.

The lowest retail price on Westin's site & Expedia, Travelocity, etc. was $289.

Taxes & service fees are $26.59. Not sure what "service fees" are.

This was my first time using Priceline and so far I'm thrilled. Hope when checking in you are not treated differently than a "regular" guest.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board. At a Westin i would expect the staff to be professional and wouldn't expect any problems at check-in. In the unlikely event you have a problem, you can either ask to speak to management, or simply think of the $150 savings and i'm sure you'll feel much better :)

Enjoy your stay.

i've stayed at the westin on a priceline bid and had no problems at all. also, just an FYI, the hyatt at penns landing is in a different area then downtown, so you cant get that on the same bid, actually i think the hyatt is the only 4 star in its area. just for future reference if you ever come into philly again.
