OAK to OGG - Need some advice

I need a flight for 8/1-8/8.

Lowest price I've found so far was via Travelocity for 529 before taxes with one stop flying ATA. I'm fine with one stop.

There will be two people flying. What would be the best way to bid for August time frame? Is it possible to get into the 400 dollar range?

I'm new to Priceline, so no, I'm not. From what I have read, it sounds like there's a bidding cycle in which I get 10 bids to get the rate I want (or the rate priceline will accept). If you don't mind clueing me in, that'd be great.

It makes sense. However, I'm not too stuck into the airport. I can also use SFO, OAK, and SJC (all within about 20 miles of each other).
