Randi66 Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Stayed two nights3/2/04 for 25$ on Priceline3/9/04 for 24$ on Priceline.Basically you get what you pay for. This is a 2 star right off I-595. Checked in at 1am on the first night. No manager on duty, you pick up a phone and they instructed me that my keys were in a mail box next to the phone. The room was generic. Queen size bed, with 1 nightstand. TV, No remote( it was missing) Kitchen with full size fridge, stove and basic dishes, cookwear. Local calls were free. The airconditioner worked well. The bed was horrible with threadbare sheets. Given room on second floor, no elevator. No POOL. Keep that in mind. Id only recommend it for someone who just needs a place to sleep. We left around 9am in the morning. The next stay, checked in around 5pm, asked for a room on the first floor. Same type room, left at 9am again. It was definately worth the price, but I wouldnt stay there for longer than one night. Happy Travelling, Randi
dawnnyc Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Stayed Columbus Day Weekend 2004. Paid a great rate--like 30/night or so BUT u get what you pay for! Horrible. When you walk it, in looks generally clean and smells good but little corners are full of dust and bathroom not so great. Our first night, we checked in with the obnoxious receptionist, unpacked and went out for the evening. We came back very late (like 2 am) to find us locked out of our room and the office was closed. There was a security phone which we called and finally someone came down. The same obnoxious girl had booked our room to someone else like an hour after we had checked in! Obviously, checking us in and talking on the phone to her friend at the same time, was bit much for her. Eye contact would have probablly helped too. :) The person walked into our room and saw our stuff and went back to the office to say the room looked full. No one in the office (including the stupid receptionist) knew how people (us) got into the room so they locked us out! Luckily, the person they checked in was honest, and walked right out w/o taking anything. So we got into our room and the next day talked to the same receptionist girl who was rude, snotty, obnoxious and completely unaplogetic. We got manger info and her name, made calls when we got home. The manager promised us a free stay to arrive in the mail, which never did. And frankly, I don't think I'd even want to stay for free anyway! If you really want to stay somewhere super cheap and ur not going to really be in the room much--it's doable. But overall, not pleasant. And certainly not worth it if you are looking for an enjoyable hotel expereince.
