pterrell
*The Holiday Inn Fresno Airport should be added to the pinned list.Started the previous day at $41 and bidding up to $47 in $1 increments by bidding around town, aiming for the 2.5* Courtyard Airport. Since I usually get the Courtyard for $42, I checked and found that rooms were not available on most websites. The morning of the reservation, I started at $53 and bid up $2 at a time--was accpeted at $61 for the Holiday Inn.Total for one night: $76.18.Hotwire was asking $75-89 for a 3*, which I almost took the first night--glad I did the rebid on Priceline. Shatner's "Falcon of truth"! :) Link to comment
pterrell
A "warning" to fellow bidder: while "chatting up" the front desk clerk, I was told that when the hotel is full, that the Priceline (and I guess Hotwire) folks are given a room with just a roll out sofa-bed. A TripAdvisor reviewer called this a "parlor room" and commented that it was actually nice because it was little used. Link to comment
