I've been reading these boards, getting read to take the plunge for our April trip..were staying onsite the 1st 6 nights then off the next 6...anyway...the discussion of the Double Tree has gotten the best of me, and I wish to clarify for some of you.

1st- there is only ONE Doubletree Club..this is located in LBV, actual address is 12490 Apopka-Vineland Road This hotel is very bright, funky looking if you will. I believe this is the one that someone referred to as the "pineapple hotel"..

then there is the Doubletree Guest Suites, IN WDW...this is the one I think people assume they will get but its not. this is the elaborate one..two large wings, and is quite expansive...addres for this one is..2305 Hotel Plaza Boulevard

Of course, there are 3 others in Orlando area....1 on Irlo Bronson, 1 on I-Drive, and 1 near universal on Major Boulevard.

they can all be seen at www.doubletree.com I think it really pays to do your homework, as if you think it's going to be the huge doubletree, and find out it's the doubletree club, your going to be disapointed.

I am going to bid for a 3.5 star, and will be happy with the doubletree club, just wanted everyone to know which hotel is actually being spoken about here...

Happy bidding, and I hope I didnt step on any toes...just want to help..

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Thanks for clarifying any misperceptions anyone might have.

We try to be very meticulous with our lists and only the DoubleTree Club LBV has been reported in our HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST DISNEY. If you see an error where the Guest Suites is referenced please let me know so that i can correct it.

Thanks again for the information.

BTW, if you intend to use Priceline for your reservation there is no 3.5* rating. Hotwire rates hotels 3.5*... Priceline goes from 3* to 4*. Let us know if/how we can help.

I was well aware that I was bidding on what I hoped would be the Doubletree Club. When I first came to this site I looked at the hotel list and then checked out the ones I might be interested in. I think the list is pretty clear about it being the Doubletree Club and I did not think it was the DTD Doubletree Suites.

It is a good idea to do research, and the internet makes that very easy. I checked out the Doubletree Club on it's site and then checked out some reviews on tripadvisor.com, and a few other sites. Of course reviews are just one person's opinions and you just have to use a little common sense sometimes. The best price I found for the Doubletree Club on other sites was $69 per night, I paid $44 and feel it is a great deal. This hotel is in a great location and all it really needs to be is clean and comfortable and I will be very satisfied. And all the money we are saving on the hotel will be used to eat at all the great Disney restaurants. :)
