Ravenjls Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 It ended up being the Sheraton Suites :)

Ravenjls Posted June 13, 2007 Author Report Posted June 13, 2007 First time ever using HOTWIRE and I noticed the 3.5* hotel (previously 3 star) I won a week later someone else won as a 3*...I got a great deal so I am not complaining just curious how the star levels can change so frequently on the same hotel and does hotwire give you the option of cancelling if your star level goes down before your trip?my winning bid:3.5* Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport 8/18 - 8/19$49.00 ea room 3 rooms with 6 Adults 2 Kidsamenities include:shuttle, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, internetTripadvisor 4.0 out of 5....based on 40+ reviews 2.1 miles to MCO
thereuare Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 If you call HOTWIRE, let them know that you recently spoke with a friend who won this hotel at the 3* level and you are dissapointed because you bought and paid for a 3.5* property, they will likely give you the option of cancelling your reservation or giving you some "hot dollars" to use towards a future purchase. If you pursue it with them let us know how it goes. Ravenjls Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 Update: I did contact HOTWIRE via email and received a very prompt reply. They offered me a full refund or keep the reservation and recive $75 HotDollars. I chose the HotDollars and I must say I am impressed with HOTWIRE's customer service. :)

ghartler Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 I just got the exact same thing tonight - the Sheraton Suites. I was expecting either the Hyatt or the Marriott Rennisance. It was $49 & with tax was $54.75. A few days ago the 3.5* was $63 with tax; therefore, I'm not sure if the hotel recently changed categories?I'm slightly disappointed, but it will be fine. Gayle
