margieco Posted May 31, 2007 Author Report Posted May 31, 2007 So after reading some reviews on the W i decided to look around first.now I get 3.5-star hotel in Chicago Loop Customer Favorite! This distinctive establishment offers comfortable rooms, personal service and some upscale features. See hotel details boutique, fitness, restaurant, business center, & high speed internet.for $99It seems a close match for the allegro, but not quite. Any ideas?
margieco Posted May 31, 2007 Author Report Posted May 31, 2007 CONFIRMED$99 for the allegro for June 17. Linked through HOTWIRE link from Better Bidding. Thanks for all the help (and they have updated the description to include high speed internet)
AaronJB Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I liked my stay at the W. However, few people seem to. It's very much a "love it or hate it" place. The hotel you mentioned above is likely the Allegro, which offers no real benefit in terms of location versus the W; both hotels are in the West Loop, which is fine during the day, but very quiet at night.
margieco Posted May 31, 2007 Author Report Posted May 31, 2007 We stayed at the Burnham last time we were there and I really liked it, so I'm looking forward to another Klimpton hotel. I agree this probably isn't a substantially better option than the W, but it is quite a bit cheaper so I'm happy. (I do recall the burnham not being by much at night, either, but we did get to have jimmyjohn's before heading out to the airport). Thanks again for your help!
