Hotwire Hotel: 3* Philadelphia (City Center East) Doubletree

Seeking assistance for a 3* or 4* hotel in downtown Philly for a family vacation (only need 1 room). Dates are check-in Saturday, June 9, and checkout Tuesday, June 12th. Have bid and rebid up to $125 so far with no luck. Even put in for the 2.5* Courtyard at $125, but was rejected.

Do you think the Saturday night is hurting the bid? Any other advice?

Would probably be willing to go up to $140 or $150 eventually, since even the cheapest hotwire 3* is at $169/night.

Just to confirm before moving further with this... you are aware that priceline only guarantees double occupancy? (asking since you mention a family vacation but only need one room)

Our family consists of two sons under 10 who will be in the room with us. We have booked rooms through Priceline before and have not had any issues in the past.

Gave up on the Priceline bidding after getting a room through Hotwire--the 3* Doubletree at $83/night. Very pleased with that outcome.
